- Kwan Woo Lee, 29, of Wyncote, allegedly defrauded Seagate Technology out of $250,000 by exploiting the company's warranty policy. Over a period lasting more than a year, Lee allegedly submitted false claims on the company's hardware to obtain more than 400 devices, prosecutors said. Dozens were resold on the secondary market, and Lee allegedly used prepaid cards to avoid being charged for replacement hard drives. He's charged with corrupt organizations, theft by unlawful taking and related offenses.
- Years ago, a young Martone got a picture with Simmonds after a practice in Voorhees. On Wednesday, they were both on the ice together for the start of Flyers development camp.
- Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, which owns the 76ers, and Comcast Corp. reportedly purchased the former Rite Aid building at 10th and Market streets for $15 million. The property sits across the street from where the Sixers sought to build a Center City arena. Those planes were scrapped earlier this year.
